Hubungan Symtom Alleviation Self Care Terhadap Quality of Life pada Pasien Kanker Kepala dan Leher
Abstract
Pasien kanker kepala dan leher akan mengalami berbagai individual symptomdan mereka menggunakan metode perawatan diriuntuk meredakannya, disebut symptom alleviation self care. Identifikasi tepat dari symptom alleviation self care akan menjadi dasar bagi keberhasilan symptom atau disease management, yang mempengaruhi quality of life pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungansymptom alleviationself careterhadap quality of lifepada pasienkanker kepala dan leher. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan consecutive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 111 responden di RSUP Dr. Kariadi Semarang, RSUD Tugurejo Semarang, dan RSUD Kabupaten Temanggung. Analisis data menggunakan uji Spearman Rho. Hasil analisis hubungan variabel symptom alleviation self care terhadap quality of life menunjukkan adanya korelasi bermakna dengan arah positif pada skala fungsional dan status kesehatan global/ QOL dan pada skala gejala/ item memiliki arah hubungan yang negatif. Adapun korelasi yang paling tinggi ditunjukkan pada korelasi kontrol pikiran/ tubuh/ spiritual terhadap skala gejala/ item.Symptom alleviation self care bervariasi dan sangat individual, dalam memberikan dampak terhadap quality of life. Identifikasi yang tepat tentang symptom alleviation self care oleh perawat menjadi dasar bagi keberhasilan symptom atau disease management untuk meningkatkan quality of life pasien kanker kepala dan leher.
